There are many spectacular wildife watching opportunities right across Europe. The Pan Parks organisation manage a series of spectacular National Parks across Europe. Ireland has spectacular whale watching, Britain is home to 2/3 of Europes sea birds and Coto Donana, in Spain, is a magnificent refuge for everything from lynx to flamingos.
Parc Ela, the largest nature park in Switzerland, has been officially opened. The park covers an area of 600 square kilometres is rich in scenery and cultural assets of national importance. No museum Economics minister Joseph Deiss said it was not a museum but "a space in which people live in respect of nature and the countryside".
